Hemp Pledge:
Share one piece of Hemp information with a Recycler or Environmentalist.
I figure it was time to call you guys out on the HEMP CRUSADE! I think the point about all this is that supporters of Hemp have the same goals as recyclers or environmentalists.
If you are a Recycler then you likely do it because you hate to see the waste of material and products which could be used again. Millions of paper products pass you daily without any chance of them being recycled, bottling plants can reuse the bottles you return, plastics are everywhere so we have to help reuse as much as possible. But with all the work of all the people recycling we still barely touch the amount of waste on a daily basis.
Environmentalist enjoy what they do because they are filled with love in their hearts for all things on the planet and the planet herself. Now, you want to protect the planet by stopping deforestation, stopping pollution of our oceans and rivers from garbage and chemicals. Protect animals and their habitats and overall protecting any ecosystem and it's habitats including humans.
So I guess by just reading those 2 paragraphs you can see that they really work hand in hand, recycling and environmentalism. The things that they have in common is really less waste, less destruction of the planet than necessary, less items in our homes which can be considered as pollutants and an overall want to make the planet a better place and a future home for the human race and other species we share earth with.
Now this is the part where I tell you how HEMP can help your cause and I hope you get involved in the evolution of America and then to help heal the planet. If we could change here in the USA, then it's likely other countries will follow because of our global pull.
Hemp is not marijuana, I know alot of people out there think that people pushing hemp are only in it for the legalization of marijuana. Well, I'm one guy who isn't, if marijuana is found to be a benefit after hemp is legalized that's fine, but we have to start growing first then look into other avenues. Hemp has been used throughout the world for paper and textiles for over 6,000 years and has only been outlawed recently... mainly by the US in 1953. Other countries grow hemp and the US imports any hemp it's going to use.
Why hemp? Well, hemp could replace all paper products from napkins to toilet paper to writing paper and copy paper and every paper you've ever used. The reason it's a benefit over cutting down trees is because 1 acre of hemp will yield 3 to 8 dry tons of product and that's 4 times the amount of product produced from an acre of trees grown the same amount of time. Which would you want over 10 years, 80 tons of raw product or 20 tons? Sounds pretty simple to save trees.
Hemp can also replace construction building products like boards, beams, fiberboard sheets, insulation, and concrete. These hemp products are stronger and more durable than those made from wood or standard concrete. So really I think that takes care of the deforestation of the planet. Stopping global warming and returning co2 levels to their appropriate levels.
Now, the pollution part. The good thing about hemp products is that they are nearly 100% biodegradable. I heard recently that there is a layer of plastic sludge covering the oceans off the coasts because plastics don't degrade well overtime. This sludge is preventing ocean plant life from reaching up and growing as well as taking away the ability for marine life to feed off the bottom having a huge effect on the ocean ecosystem.
Plastics are made with mostly with petrol products. The good news is that hemp can also replace most plastics that are made. Plastics for cars, electronics, drinking bottles and more. I know alot of people push to stop people from buying bottled water because of the use of plastics. Wouldn't it be nice not to worry about that and use less fossil fuels in the process?
Again, Hemp can be made into E-fuels or Biofuels. We all know the problem there, co2 emissions. Hemp is known to be the best and most efficient of all the E-fuels out there and it emits lower emissions than any of the others. So really if we are looking to use corn, peanut and sugarcane oils as E-fuels, wouldn't you want the one that's the best and gives you the most yield of oil? That is the hemp plant. Cars running on on hemp can make the difference again on leveling co2 output.
We always talk about pesticides killing animals, bugs, maybe causing cancers in people. These are definitely things we could do with less of. Here's some more good news. Hemp can replace cotton as the main thread used in clothes. Through the cotton process... 50% of the worlds pesticides and chemicals go into the production or completion of cotton products. Hemp because of how hearty the plant grows can use ZERO chemicals to grow and a very limited amount of chemicals in the breakdown process of the plant into fiber. Plus the yield of hemp again is greater than that of cotton 2 to 1. Hemp also replenishes the ground it's grown on putting nutrients back into the ground and will leave the ground weed free because of how the roots grow. Hemp plant will also grow almost anywhere in the world.
All of the sectors of industry I've covered here can be easily converted over to hemp and many of them still use the same processes to make hemp work. So it really wouldn't take many jobs from people in the process, in fact it has a great potential to create jobs.
So please, we are all in this for the greater good of humanity and the planet. If you'd like to make a difference please educate yourself and friends about hemp. Let's focus our abilities and make a difference. Hemp to Save the Planet!
