Welcome to MaryJanesGirl.com, the cyber realm of a treehugger & industrial hemp advocate
Hi.
This site was created with the hope and purpose of educating and inspiring.
The mission of this website is to help get out information about Industrial Hemp. As of now this is a grassroots effort. Hopefully I will be part of the movement and inspire others to legalize industrial hemp and medicinal cannabis in the U.S. and in other nations worldwide.
I have been a fan of the benefits of industrial hemp production/farming for 11 years now. I came to realize the medicinal value in cannabis 9 years ago. I have always been vocal about the benefits of both species of the Cannabis Sativa plant, commonly and incorrectly referred to and known as Marijuana here in the states.
After attending the 2006 annual Hempfest festival in Seattle, my interests and thoughts towards the prohibition of Hemp in America overtook me and I decided that I want and need to do my part and play a role in the education and liberation on this misunderstood plant. I have heard and read so many incorrect statements published in the media regarding hemp & cannabis. So many blatant lies about what hemp is and all of it’s beneficial purposes.
Maybe I thought , this is due to such a lack of informational pro-hemp sites and non-profits in America. Our media is very biased on the topic of hemp. I wonder why I never have heard one positive function of hemp on the news, magazines, in tv shows. . . when there are a multitude of benefits of industrial hemp! With the state of the earth right now with global warming. polar melting, energy crisis, etc Industrial Hemp seriously should be considered and I believe used again in the U.S ( it was a legal crop in America Till the late 1930’s) and worldwide to help alleviate some of the environmental and economic strain that felt here in the states and world-wide.
I am not advocating people to break the law. I am advocating people to just take a sincere moment and read various sources of information on Industrial Hemp and the decide your stance on it. I too once was a little skeptical Of all the assumed uses of Industrial hemp . . . then I was educated by a friend, looked into the matter for myself, and realized that the hype with hemp is no hype at all, it may just be the the most useful, least harmful of all plants every discovered on earth so far. Lets start using what was placed on earth naturally to sustain our quality of life.
This is the very beginning of what I hope to be a most rewarding, satisfying phase of my life . . . helping to liberate something I truly believe in.
Namaste
